Light with Death God

Deathnote Live Action Movie - Light Yagami , Death God - Ryuk

Death Note (Live Action Movie) – Death Note – I Am Justice

Death Note became a very well – known  Anime and Manga in america, when they started with Adult Swim the Television Channel. Now, They have Two Live Action Movies. As well as a “squeal” Live Action Movie. They all tell the interesting story of Light Yagami , with the Death Note and His Death God or his (shinigami).

Basically Boredom Can kill some one. Seriously, Boredom can hurt you.

Now, The start of this Movie Alone with the Anime and Manga goes a little like this..  Ryuk , (A Death God) casually drops his death note into the human world, with instructions on its use in the commonly used langue (English). Now , In the Books and The Anime the way They start are all different. In the Anime , The young Student Light Yagami , is going through his regular day of school when he finds in on the ground in the middle of his schools court yard. Now, In the movie its different but , I don`t want to spoil anything so Ill just tell you get ready for a different Start. Also , for those who never seen Death Note the Anime, Enjoy the beginning and try not getting lost.

OK! so The movie has lots of good points in it , and some points were little disappointments to me as a Anime fan. To start ill Tell you about the little Disappointment I found first and it lasted the whole movie. The characters are all japanese which , is great right? well not when they all talk in japanese and you want English Dub in stead of subtitles. So I got up and switched the movie to English Dubbed and when Everyone started talking , I have realized that everyone`s mouths were moving as if they were speaking in japanese then in English, so that leads me to believe that they all just dubbed over the Japanese Subtitle version to make it English. So, through out the entire move we had peoples mouths moving saying one thing and we heard another thing. I was disappointed because when you would watch there mouths of the people it would seem off and it was more like you had to listen and watch there actions but not watch them really speaking. Another thing that got to me was , there were a lot of bad words. Now, in the Manga there are many bad words if i remember correctly but in the Anime there were none. Again , When I saw the anime it was on TV Adult Swim so Im sure they cleaned it up instead of having people saying bad words on National TV.

For the good stuff was , how smooth the story line was and how great the movie all together was. I enjoyed the movie so much because it was close enough to the Anime and Manga but A little Different that kept me more interested compared to the other Anime Death Note Movies like “Death Note – Relight”. The Movie was not to long so it keep you wanting more , but not over filling you up!

They took the character`s well but could of been a little better when it came down to it. Such as Like L, . When they introduce him into the Scene they show him well , but when it comes down to the way he looks its as if he is a different person. At one scene they have L in shoe`s … yes Shoe`s no where in the entire Anime and Manga series they have L in shoe`s.

(Those Death Note fans must be freaking out when they saw that scene, and on top of that when he`s whering these shoe`s , its the first time L meets Light Yagmai. They meet in a dark place , compared to when in the anime they met at light`s school)

This truly must of killed some Anime fan`s when they saw that.

Death Note Live Action Movie - Screenshot Light, and Ryuk

They did a pretty good on Ryuk , specially for them trying to make him look as real as possible. At some scenes , he looks very computer-ish and digital not so real as much as I wanted it but in the dark scenes like when they first meet each other Light , and Ryuk. That scene was one of the best when it came to how Ryuk appeared and looked.I believe that they also rewrote  some key characters’ personalities. Which changed the feel from the Anime to the Manga as well as to the movie itself. Overall , They did a great job on pulling it together and showing that the Anime and Manga were great pieces of work.

Just recently our loving anime/manga death note series were in a problem with a locate school.

In New Mexico’s Albuquerque Public Schools system, Most of the committee voted unanimously against a proposed district-wide ban on the manga.

Peggy Salazar was the name of the mother who`s student goes to Albuquerque’s Volcano Vista High School, advocated for the ban and stated, “Killing is just not something we should put out there for our kids to read in this way.

According to the KRQE News 13 program, this is the first time in five years that the district had considered banning a book, this was a rare event for both the manga company (death note) and the TV production news channel.

Steamboy The Movie – Review

1 06 2010

steam boy screenshot Steamboy was a classical and start of many anime movies at this time. Steamboy was placed in the setting of the eighteen century through the nineteenth century.During this time frame , the producers tried hard to put the characters and plot into the right setting. If you ask me they hit there goals , and achieved it perfectly.I was Very impressed with the lay out of this anime movie and also with the graphics and art.I understand that this was a very large amount of time that was put into this , and also it was done in such detail.

The amount of Action , steam and fire that are used in this anime movie are insane compared to other anime movies. This movie lacked the average feel compared to most, I did not say that this was a bad thing cause it is not.In fact, this is a great thing , I sure there are people out there who hope to find a anime movie that is not the same compared to most , like unique.Well , i recommend this anime movie for you then its different and set in a different time frame , but is full of anime action , and major twists in the storyline.

This anime movie has a basic plot in the start, but as the story progresses it gets deeper and deeper. On top of that you discover new things as well , which by the end of the movie you have the whole storyline full to the details stuck in your head.

Death Note -Review

28 05 2010

Death Note was a type of Anime that always had a twist in it, and when it twisted to much it would , keep twisting. This Anime brought a lot of entertainment and thrill to the Anime community when it was published. The Author and manga artist were Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata.I gave this Anime an 8.5 out of a 10 because all of the storyline and details were there but not the key points.Overall, I would highly recommend this Anime to anyone , also for new Animelovers. Through out the storyline, the main character Light was constantly a step ahead of the FBI in the case of Kira. This kept you interested through out the Anime.

The farther you get into the Anime series the better the Anime it gets in my opinion. There are two seasons to deathnote and there are many changes from both of them. This anime brought together many ideas for newer animes as well.A plus to deathnote was the fact that they did not have a lot of fillers infact they did not have that many at all.

Death Note was an anime that was a joy to watch and kept the watcher entertained through out the serise. The characters in death note were great and fit perfectly with the story line , I wouldn’t of done it any other way.

Bleach -Reveiw

27 05 2010

Bleach is a well know anime and many people love it , support it , and can’t live with out it. The rateing I give this anime is a 9 out of 10. The only real down fall to this anime is one the fillers. Everyone hates watching fillers and I’m sure there are peopl who enjoy watching them , such as me. There are also people who refuse to watch this anime because there are many fillers throught the serise.the second reason why it’s a 9 out of 10 is because the serise is very very long. Now, some people enjoy that they do not like watching an anime end or finish they Enjoy the on going seasons and plots. On the other hand , that’s what turns away Some people from bleach.

Bleach has a great plot and it is always changing throught the seasons.the characters from bleach fit the style and make up the anime it self.I strongly believe that without the ways that they designed bleach, which means the characters and the setting and the timeframe or era that this is placed in all have a great impact on this anime.that could be part of the reason why it is so popular.

The thing with bleach that most animes do not have is how they could always keep going. See in the serise death note they had to stop at a given point were as bleach they were able to change there plot and storyline many different times.this made bleach stick out and become more known around the anime community.
